A Throne Room is a special room easily identified by the presence of a throne in the center and a multitude of sleeping monsters surrounding it. The room usually contains a chest with loot, making it a lucrative but dangerous area for early game characters.
🗺️ Generation
Throne rooms can be generated randomly in the Dungeons of Doom. They have a 1 in 6 chance of generating on levels eligible for special rooms. The room is always lit and the floor is completely filled with monsters that are generated asleep, provided you do not make too much noise.
The monsters in a throne room are often led by a prominent monster acting as the ruler (like an Orc king or an Ogre king), accompanied by their retinue.
